Dr. Tara Williams is an educator, author, speaker, and nationally recognized advocate for neurodivergent students in higher education. As the Founder and CEO of Innovative Collegiate Consultants (ICC), she has spent more than fifteen years helping neurodivergent students successfully navigate the transition from high school to college and beyond.

Dr. Williams holds a Ph.D. in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom and is a tenured professor at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California, where she has taught for more than twenty years. Her unique perspective as both a higher education professional and neurodivergent individual has made her a sought-after presenter at conferences, professional development trainings, and educational events across the country.

Through keynote presentations, conference sessions, workshops, and media appearances, Dr. Williams shares practical strategies for supporting executive functioning, self-advocacy, accessibility, Universal Design, and student success. Her work bridges the gap between K–12 support systems and the realities of college, helping educators, families, and institutions better understand the needs of neurodivergent learners.

Under her leadership, ICC has supported students nationwide through individualized executive functioning coaching, academic planning, accommodation management, college transition support, and career readiness services. Her approach emphasizes building sustainable skills, confidence, and independence so students can thrive both academically and personally.

Dr. Williams is also the author of The Neurodivergent Student Journey: Breaking Out of the Box, which combines her personal experiences with years of professional expertise and student case studies to provide insight into the challenges and strengths of neurodivergent learners.
